FAQ - K-Ways to Relax in the Sauna Spa

 Korean Sauna Spas do not allow underwear or swimsuits in the pools due to cultural norms that normalize communal nudity as a part of bathing. This practice promotes cleanliness and hygiene by preventing the trapping of bacteria that can occur with clothing. It also fosters equality and comfort among patrons, removing socio-economic barriers and emphasizing relaxation. The no-clothing policy aligns with traditional Korean bathhouse customs, where nudity symbolizes purity and renewal.

1. **NO CELL PHONES IN THE NUDE AREA**:  Please respect the privacy of others. Keep all devices away.

2. **Hygiene**: Shower thoroughly before entering pools or saunas to maintain cleanliness.

3. **Quietness**: Maintain a quiet atmosphere to respect others' relaxation.

4. **Courtesy**: Treat staff and fellow patrons with respect; follow spa rules and customs for a pleasant experience.

Our $35 admission grants access to all the amenities including dry and steam saunas in the gender restricted communal bathing areas with hot, warm, and cold pools, and 5 different themed saunas in the main hall (co-ed) with restaurant and cafe for 6 hours. 

Admission is waived when you book services.

We restrict the entrance to 12 years and older.

1. Guests must provide minimum 12 hrs' notice for any cancelation or rescheduling of spa appts.

2. Cancelations made within 12 hrs of the scheduled appt time may incur a $35 cancellation fee.

3. Full refund for cancelation must be made min 12 hrs before the appt time.

4. Guests are required to arrive min 30 min prior to their scheduled time.  Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time out of respect for the next guest.

Spa Hyu has a 3.7-star rating on Google, but a glowing 4.5 stars on Yelp. So what’s going on? Well, Google has merged old reviews from the previous owner, Diamond Family Spa, to the new ones. Some of those past reviews weren’t exactly glowing, dragging the score down. Yelp, however, seems to have a better memory, only showing reviews from the new ownership, which explains the higher rating. So, if you’re wondering why the ratings don’t quite match, blame Google’s “blast from the past” approach!
